Emily Bobbitt

Emily graduated from Clemson University in December 2002 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Health Science. Over the next 15 years, Emily was a project manager for live conferences and online tools & resources for accredited continuing medical education companies in the U.S. Ironically, the companies Emily worked for focused specifically on physician education in Oncology and Hematology.

In October 2020 at age 40, Emily discovered a mass and noticed skin changes during a breast self-exam. She had her first mammogram 1 week later followed by an ultrasound and biopsies to confirm diagnosis of Stage 1B HER2+ invasive ductal carcinoma. Emily refers to the treatment of her cancer, to this time in her life, as a ‘Journey’. Her roadmap to recovery includes chemotherapy and immunotherapy, surgery, and radiation. She will also take an oral medication post treatment for 5 years.

Emily’s greatest achievements are building a loving home with her husband of 12 years, Michael, and raising their 3 smart, kind, and adorable! children. The family enjoys outdoor adventures from hiking mountain trails to building sandcastles at the beach. And of course, cheering on the Clemson TIGERS!

Emily would like to thank her family and friends for their continued support, especially Amy Rosenberg who invited Emily to be a WARRIOR. It takes one to know one!
