Kara Waters

Kara Waters was diagnosed in January, 2026 with Stage IV non small cell lung cancer with ALK mutation.  My cancer can be treated, but not cured. I have been able to receive a targeted therapy (Lorbrena), which is the result of research that C3 helps fund. I have also been receiving much help from the Cancer Association of Anderson (SC), which C3 also helps fund.

While my treatment is mostly covered by insurance, I was able to qualify for a grant that covers the remainder of the cost ($2000 per month, my part). This has truly been a blessing. 

All of these things are blessings to me. I am so grateful to God for all He does for me, as well as for all the work C3 does and the help C3 provides. Thank you.
