Sarah Primeau

My name is Sarah Primeau and I am 43 years old living in Greenville, SC. I have 2 children Ryder (13), and Grace (11) and a wonderful, supportive partner, Tristan.  

In 2018, at the age of 37, I was diagnosed with breast cancer.  I had a lumpectomy and 30+ rounds of radiation.  In 2020, I had a bilateral mastectomy and reconstruct.

Unfortunately, cancer is something my immediate family has had to endure for many years.  Ironically, my father was diagnosed and treated for Seminoma at 37 and my mother is a 2x breast cancer survivor.  Both my parents and I were cared for and treated through Prisma’s Cancer Institute.  For many years, we have called Dr. Gluck our family “hero” for the incredible treatment and research he and his team brought to Greenville.  We are forever grateful for their efforts.  My breast cancer diagnosis uncovered that I, my father, and sister carry a genetic mutation which puts us at higher risk of developing certain types of cancer. Because of this, my sister also underwent a prophylactic bilateral mastectomy and reconstruct in the fall of 2023. 

To say our family has been deeply impacted by cancer is an understatement, and we are appreciative for all the C3 participants and their many efforts to support such a wonderful cause.  Thank you, thank you, thank you.  It is these endeavors that will only continue to fund support for families like mine who have been so deeply affected by cancer.
